To find out how you can address your credit problems, we encourage you to contact us. We can help by evaluating your credit history and determining what your next move should be. The first step is obtaining a copy of your credit report and  correcting any inaccuracies that may exists.

The three major credit reporting agencies you need to contact are all located on the East Coast. You can attempt to contact the companies by clicking on the internet link below, or by calling them directly Monday through Friday, 8 am - 8 pm EST. Reports usually cost between $10 to $25 and take between 1-4 weeks to receive.

Often inaccuracies on your credit report can be corrected by writing the credit agencies and providing the written documentation proving the inaccuracy, and requesting each agency correct the reporting.

The most important thing to remember when clearing your credit is to plan ahead and be persistent. Cleaning up credit issues can take up to a year, if not longer. The bottom line is that credit issues do affect your ability to buy a home. Knowing where you stand on your credit and being committed to making debt payments is important.
